Mark McKeon has developed a simple daily program that will fit into any hectic life style.
This daily program will achieve:
- general good health
- higher energy and concentration
- a lower heart rate and blood pressure
Try incorporating these four good health practices into your everyday schedule:
Start Now, You Do Have Time"The best time to plant a tree is 10 years ago." And so it is with good health practices. But many of us feel it's too late. It is never too late! Better yet, start now!. And here's how:
- Don't be a victim, hire if you are over-committed
- Outsource for special skills
- Sleep less, not more!
- Learn to say "No". Be selfish with your personal time.
EnergyOne hour of exercise every other day is enough to build a strong heart, lower stress, and purge the body of impurities that cause feelings of low energy. Do something you enjoy if you mean to continue. And have fun. Golf, walking, running, tennis, or the gym, are all effective means of getting fit.
FoodEat less fat. The average Australian ingests about 200g of fat daily, when the desirable level is about 50g. The best way to cut down on fat is to avoid fried and fast foods, high in fat. If you plan well, you can still enjoy favourite treats occasionally. Most people eat 22 food choices per day. Choose fruit and vegetables for snacks.
PressureRecognise stress 'triggers' before they take hold. Study your response. Learn to use laughter and see the humour in life. Control your work environment and eliminate the sources of stress. Take one day off a month, just for you. Learn deep breathing, and use it to control stress and anger. And if stress does get in, treat it with massage, or exercise. Reward yourself for a job well done. Make up for the bad days with good ones to keep balance in your life.
